Lunaria, which is also called Honesty, is a beautiful plant from Europe and South-East Asia. After flowering it develops the most amazing translucent discs that hold its seeds, which can be dried and kept forever.

The discs must be prepared by hand-peeling the outer layer off each side of the disc individually - a delicate and time-consuming process that reveals the pearly inner layer that lunaria is so well-known for. This process showcases the see-through silicles (similar to seed pods) and gives lunaria the "moon-like" appearence that it is named for.

Our small dried lunaria stems are approximately 20cm tall, with lots of beautiful silicles on each stem. We source our lunaria from an amazing local farm in Flowerdale, Victoria. They grow chemical free flowers & farm with a focus on soil health and regeneration.
